Discount Period that ends on Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday

When a discount period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the discount period shall be extended to the next working day if payment is delivered to a designated collection office of the tax collector on the extended date. The Tax Collector's office provides tax information and accepts payments many different ways. The chart below is to help assist you with information that will be provided or acceptable dates for payments received by mail, internet, drop box or in the offices when the the discount period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.

Cut off Dates for 2009 Real Estate Taxes:
  • eChecks will be accepted over the Internet for Real Estate taxes until 12:00 a.m. on April 1, 2010
  • April 1, 2010 - Certified funds or mortgage company, title company/attorney trust checks are required for payment of Real Estate taxes
  • Credit Cards will be accepted over the Internet for payment of Real Estate taxes until 5:00 pm E.S.T. on May 31, 2010
